Dorans-bot integrates with Allstar to capture and deliver highlight clips from your players' games. Here's how the system works.
How highlights work
You won't receive an auto-highlight for every game, but what you will typically get is called an On Demand clip. Think of it as a blueprint for a clip that hasn't been generated yet.
On Demand clips will appear on your match pages on the website, and should also show up as a clickable button underneath your match alert embed in Discord. From there, any player can tap the button to request that the highlight gets generated.
Once generated (normally within a couple of minutes), a few things happen automatically:
- The button on the match embed updates with a pink flashing arrow to indicate it's ready to watch
- The clip gets delivered to your server's configured highlights channel
- The match page on dorans.bot updates to show the clip as watchable
Auto-generated highlights
In some cases you'll receive a highlight without needing to request it. Auto-generated clips are generally always created for:
- Triple kills
- Quadra kills
- Pentakills
These get delivered automatically without any action needed.

Requires Manage Channels permission. Available on Premium servers or servers with active Allstar highlights.

Known issues
There are occasional bugs where clips don't always show up as a button underneath the match embed, or aren't delivered to the channel. These are actively being worked on.
